Course Description:

Safety will be discussed along with proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and specialty tools required for EV service. This course will cover the types of EV drive systems in use as well as their operation and service needs. Description and operation sections will include E/V drivetrain components, inverter/converter systems, motor types and design differences, air conditioning system designs, cooling systems for the components. Diagnostic procedures and proper tool usage will be covered in depth as the electronic testing tools required for these vehicles is different than those commonly used in shops at this time.

Course Description:

This session will provide the entry level teammates with the core skills that will allow them to develop into a skilled A-level technician in the future. Practical hands‐on training will be performed by the teammate on electrical testing training aids. All learning will be reinforced with hands on exercises. Electrical testing boards for hands‐on testing will be provided during class.

Course Description:

This course will cover the types of Hybrid drive systems in use as well as their operation and service needs. Description and operation sections will include Hybrid drivetrain components, inverter/converter systems, motor types and design. Differences, air conditioning system designs, cooling systems for the components. Diagnostic procedures and proper tool usage will be covered in depth as the electronic testing tools required for these vehicles is different than those commonly used in shops at this time.

Course Description:

This course will cover all aspects of modern air conditioning systems using both R134 and R1234yf refrigerants. The complete refrigeration cycle will be explained, and all components involved will be discussed in detail. Service and testing techniques along with equipment usage will be covered. Proper system leak testing tools and procedures will be shown and fully discussed. We will provide fully operational A/C system mockups to be used in the classroom. This course will require the use of the store's A/C machine during class. Students will use the mockups to perform a variety of procedures such as compressor replacement, leak testing and temperature testing of the refrigerant lines for diagnostic purposes

Course Description: 

Air brake systems can be frustrating, let our instructor show you how to conquer air brake concerns. This course is centered on our one‐of‐akind air brake mock up system. You will learn the basics and then you will build a full functional air brake system in class. Once you are ready, the system will be altered with fault, and you'll learn how to quickly pin point and repair the fault. Multiple faults and many diagnostic concepts will be covered so you'll be ready for any air brake system repair you'll need to do. We will cover ABS, and trailer braking/ABS systems in depth as well.
