So many thoughts come to mind when you take a look at the Raybestos 1971 Camaro. Whether you’re staring down the nostrils of the Formula Firebird style hood in flat black, trying best not to drool on the entirely custom black and red interior or scared out of your Dickies at the fire breathing SLP Supercharged LS3 – the feeling is want. I want to sit in it! I want to drive it (in the most careful way of course). But unfortunately, none of us will get to, unless you’re friends with the winner of this beautiful machine.
Raybestos set out to build one of the coolest 2nd Gen Camaros on the street and did so with style, ingenuity and a lot of elbow grease – all for a contest where the winner would be envied by all of AAPEX and SEMA combined. That winner is Brian Williams and he is my new best friend (I hope). So here’s to you Brian, you lucky son-of-a….
