New Additions Coming to AVI Test Prep

Automotive Video has recently filmed A5 to A9 Test Prep programs, and they will soon be added to AVI’s ASE Test Prep website! AVI Test Prep aims to help automotive repair technicians prepare for the ASE A2, A6, A8, C1, and L1 certification exams. The site has free practice quizzes for each certification test. The quizzes are divided into sections based on the chapters of the Motor Information Systems Study Guides. From the results of each section, the site will recommend AVI training programs to help techs better comprehend the sections they do poorly on.

A5 Car and Light Diesel Brakes Test Prep

Automotive Video’s ASE test prep videos have everything technicians need to know to be ASE Certified. Presented by instructor Mark DeKoster this program is a complete A-Z for brakes service and will be a great training experience for any new tech doing brake jobs or techs studying for the ASE A5 brakes certification. A5 addresses the symptoms and causes of the extensive hydraulic braking systems, drum brake, disc brake, parking brake, power assist unit and anti-lock brake system diagnostic information. A9 Light Vehicle Diesel Test Prep

Dave Scaler is the instructor in the new ASE A9 Test Prep program. A9 is one of the most difficult tests. Take the fast track to passing the ASE A9 exam! You are guaranteed to find information in this program that you will not find elsewhere. The complete training program covers Powerstroke, Cummins, Duramax, VW TVI, Sprinter.

To pass the A9 test there are many different systems you will need to be proficient in such as High Pressure Common Rail, HEUI Injection Systems, TDI systems, as well as engine repair and diagnosis. The A9 test will challenge you on your knowledge and proficiency for light duty diesel. This training program will get you up to speed by covering all the core emissions content including Diesel Exhaust Fluid and urea which is water plus a chemical that will need to be refilled in all diesel trucks starting in 2010 models and going forward. It’s probably not on the test now, but will be a hot topic coming up since it will be a new requirement.
