“Gateway College Training Session” – The Group Training Academy EV Tour Blog

March 12, 2021

March 11 and 12, 2021 – Ft. Wright, KY

Day one and two of this tour stop was hosted by Gateway Community College in Ft. Wright, KY, and hosted by our good friends with KOI/Fisher Auto Parts. Working with these guys is fantastic. Anyone who has worked on the road understands how organization and planning is everything, and Dave Gamm and his team had everything prepped and turnkey for us on arrival. This class's scheduling was slightly different, with day one running from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm and day two from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon, but the attendees seemed okay with it.

John is hitting his groove with the hybrid training, and you can see the results of all his hard work in the responsiveness he's getting from the students, the quality of their questions, and the positive feedback we're receiving from the end-of-course surveys. We are getting so many suggestions for new classes and requests for us to return for additional training that Paul Louwers, the president of AVI, is already looking at new boats.

Day two of the Gateway session went as well as day one, and on its conclusion we packed up the gear and towed the trailer the short 20 minutes to the next day's training in nearby Milford, OH, for the following day's event. Before the training on the 13th was to take place, bad things would happen to part of the AVI training team. Oh no. Stay tuned.

Stay tuned to this blog, as we hope to bring you updates on this tour as it goes, both the good and not-so-good, all the way through to its' conclusion on March 27 in Fort Myers, Florida, TGTA's world headquarters.

If you are interested in finding out how to bring TGTA live training to your area, contact us at Phone: 1-800-718-7246 | Email: support@aviondemand.com. We will be adding tour stops for the EV classes and additional content on such topics as advanced diesel diagnostics, ADAS, and light, medium, and heavy-duty braking systems.
