Tech Tip: Accurate Battery Testing

The most accurate results from battery testing comes when you know the battery’s cold cranking amps. Many manufacturers mount the battery on the firewall, under a fender or in the drunk where it is often difficult to see what the cold cranking amps would be, especially with a cover on the battery. It is always best to check your manufacturer specifications for battery CCA otherwise you run the risk of a severely inaccurate result.
