Lifting a vehicle is mandatory in the Automotive repair industry. Due to the amount of lifting done it can also be dangerous. This program on lifting will help prevent damage and injury. This program is great for entry level to seasoned technicians. A review on safe practices can prevent issues for all lift users. Keep in mind lifts from many suppliers can differ some. Always consult with the lift supplier for additional specific information. Never overload a lifts rating. We highly recommend the current ALI lift guide be available at the lift as a job aid. Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this class the participant will be able to:

• Use service information to safely locate proper lift points
• Demonstrate an understanding of the center of gravity
• Explain the difference between symmetrical and asymmetrical lifts
• Understand the importance of a vehicle pre-inspection
• Determine if the vehicle is structurally sound for lifting
• Safely support a lifted vehicle when a service procedure changes the COG
• Be familiar with lifting procedures and lift accessories
