LBT-397 F.R.E.D. Directs the Injection (GDI)

(1 customer review)

$99.95

This course, “F.R.E.D, Directs the Injection,” is a continuation of the popular Dave Hobbs series on “Frustrating, Ridiculous, Electronic Devices” in covering the mysteries behind Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) systems. Dave’s presentation will present not only on GDI systems but also Sequential Port Injection (SPI) and how the two delivery methods work together. The course will cover hands-on diagnostic techniques utilizing scan tools, scopes, and meters, tips and tricks on examining the high-pressure mechanical GDI pump, as well as an exploration of 3-phase brushless fuel tank delivery pumps. Diagnostics are followed by advice on recommendations for proper R&R of fuel injectors and fuel pumps.

Great info. A few key items would be video and audio detail which surprisingly most YouTube guys like Scanner Danner have in spades over AVI. Cheaper quality with your videos are not good. Detailed locational shots of what you are doing and where you are doing it especially in scope info. Scope info is poor with no settings provided. Most of us viewing these videos are well versed in settings but some new guys getting in to scopes or this system would enjoy and prefer the brief explanation. Service info should be researched more in depth. When you give the example of “10% off the top of your head” type of an opinion, you should definitely shout out to the engineers of at least the aftermarket makers of these pumps and systems since they will know a little more. Stop trying to lightly spam videos for Delphi. Delphi makes good products and doesn’t need to be injected in to the videos at all unless of course they are sponsoring the entire thing. This video is good again, but this could have been a $50 webinar not a $100 course.

Hi Erik – Thank you for leaving your evaluation of this course.
For more detailed training on scope settings, we recommended to view: LBT-393 Labscopes for the New user and LBT-326 Basics of Labscopes
Overall, this is great feedback to help us continue to improve our training offerings.
