Advanced A/C – 609 Certification Classroom Training

This live classroom training will explain all thermal-related vehicle system’s fundamentals, laying out practical tips for the working tech who wants to become more experienced with heating and air conditioning systems. HVAC is becoming more complex in today’s vehicles, and this course will present both traditional and cutting-edge HVAC diagnostic procedures. As the days of simple air conditioning and heating repairs are long gone, the savvy technician must develop new strategies for maintaining and repairing today’s HVAC systems. Electric and hybrid electric heating and cooling systems will also be discussed. Topics include automatic temperature control systems, R-1234yf refrigerant, and advanced diagnostic tools. Training also covers use of pressure gauges, reclaimers/recyclers, and thermal imaging cameras for accurate and efficient A/C service. This class also includes optional Section 609 certification testing at the conclusion of the class. The Section 609 test is an additional $25.00 per technician. Payment will be made on site by scanning a QR code the instructor provides that will take you to the payment form where you will enter your PayPal or Credit Card details. Payment must be made before taking the test.
 
This class costs WDs $3,500.00, and the recommended price from WD to their customers is $179.95 per person.  The 609 certification is optional and will be provided at the conclusion of the HVAC Systems & Service portion of the class.  As Katie mentioned the class is approximately 3-hours long, followed by the 609 certification testing, which takes about 30 minutes.
