It’s been a busy summer at AVI with two new training classes almost ready to join our library! Transform your frustration into profits in your shop with the interactive hands-on Victory Over Voltage Drop training course, and take your ASE certification to the next level with the Complete A8 Test Prep Program—the last step to being an ASE Certified Master Technician. Both Victory Over Voltage Drop and the Complete A8 Test Prep Program with Instructor Dave Hobbs are set to be released in the Fall.

Victory Over Voltage Drop

From the basics in electrical diagnostics to fully interactive hands on training, Dave Hobbs shows you how to properly diagnose hard to find voltage drops in his newest training program, Victory Over Voltage Drop.

Get a hands-on look at bad connections and common mis-diagnostics on a fuel pump system, watch current draw with a resistor on a blower motor, and check voltage drops on high voltage systems like the Toyota Hybrid checking the resistance among contacts. Dave also demonstrates how to check simple 12 volt systems like rear defogger grids and the proper usage of tools such as an Amp Clamp, Multimeter, and a Labscope.

A8 ASE Test Prep

Knowing they have “made the grade,” ASE certified technicians gain a real sense of accomplishment and pride in their hard work. Attaining A8 Engine Performance Certification is the last step to being recognized as an ASE-Certified Master Automobile Technician and is required as a prerequisite to register for the L1 Advanced Engine Performance Specialist test, the highest certification for the Automobile and Light Duty Truck category. Taking the journey to become A1-A8 certified not only provides personal satisfaction it also offers greater recognition from your peers and enhances the image of the auto repair industry as a whole.

Throughout each step of the A Series certification process you are further improving your knowledge of the diagnostics and repair of various vehicle systems. Becoming an ASE Master Technician is a difficult task that requires a great deal of knowledge and determination. Becoming A8 certified is a great accomplishment and puts you on the road to a fantastic career.
