How to engage maintenance mode:

Key On, No Ready Mode: Press the power button without pressing the brake pedal. You should see all dashboard lights illuminate.
Wait for Beeps: Listen for five beeps.
Accelerator Press (1): Depress the accelerator pedal twice.
Shift to Neutral: Press the brake pedal and shift the vehicle into neutral.
Accelerator Press (2): Depress the accelerator pedal twice again.
Shift to Park: Shift the vehicle into park.
Accelerator Press (3): Depress the accelerator pedal twice one more time.

At this point, your vehicle should be in maintenance mode. Confirm this by checking the dashboard display for “maintenance mode is active” or a car icon with an exclamation mark, depending on the hybrid generation. The internal combustion engine will now run continuously, allowing you to perform detailed diagnostics.
