Ford Transmission Analysis

Fort Myers, FL – June 4, 2009 – Automotive Video, Inc. (Team AVI) released a new Ford Transmission Analysis training program on DVD this week. In this class former Ford trainer Mark DeKoster provides Ford factory procedures for analyzing and diagnosing automatic transmissions using non-intrusive testing methods.

Mark provides Fords fundamentals and basic tests that are required before moving on to more advanced diagnostic strategies and testing procedures. He covers essential tests such as fluid flow tests, road tests, torque converter clutch operational tests, line pressure tests and stall speed tests.

This class also explains more complex diagnostic strategies such as KOEO and KOER on demand tests, shift strategies and failure modes including default programming, FMEM, LIMP modes, and transmission controls. Mark also covers advanced testing procedures including OSC and EPC bench tests with a scan tool, drive mode testing and pin point tests.
