The most important question is “who will be capable of repairing these systems\, when needed?”\nBody and mechanical shops need to gear up for servicing these systems or find a shop capable of performing this service.\nThis seminar\, sponsored by Bosch\, provides an overview of the variety of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems found on vehicles today – and what it takes to service these complex systems. \nTopics Covered:\n„ ADAS – What levels are set by the Society of Automotive Engineers\n„ Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – Why this is an important safety feature\n„ Night Vision System – How the system dectects warm objects\n„ Lane change assist – Types of sensors used\n„ Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) – How is distance determined from other vehicles\n„ Special Service Tools – Which sensor replacement tools are needed\n„ Drive Assistance Calibration – Different types of aligning systems \nVehicle Networking Diagnostics (VND)\nThis course provides the technician with an understanding of vehicle networking systems. Technicians will diagnose\, test and repair networking systems on newer model year vehicles. Approximately half the time will be spent performing hands-on tasks on training vehicles. Automotive technician with good technical knowledge of and experience in servicing automotive passenger car electrical systems. One (1) year practical experience and completion of the Electrical – Part 1 course\, or completion of the AED course\, or successfully pass the Bosch online Electrical test.
