SUMMARY:NAFTC Expo III
DESCRIPTION:5 Reasons to Join Us at Expo III?\nLearn about the Volkswagen emissions scandal at the place it was discovered in the Center for Alternative Engines and Emissions tour. CAFEE\, a non-profit research center at West Virginia University\, conducts emission reduction research — particularly engine technologies\, post-combustion technologies\, after-treatment evaluation\, and fuel technologies. \n  \n  \n \nEnjoy the view from the Monongalia County Ballpark during a Black Bears baseball game and tailgate. The Black Bears are the single-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates and won the league championship in 2015! First pitch for the June 19th game is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. against the Mahoning Valley Scrappers. Across the street is a terrific view of Morgantown where we will tailgate before the game. \n  \nGet a behind the scenes look at West Virginia University’s electric mass transit system with the Personal Rapid Transit Tour. The first large-scale automated guideway transit system in the United States the PRT is an automated people mover that connects the three areas of the WVU Morgantown Campus and the central Morgantown business area and transports more than 15\,000 people every day! \n  \nSample beer brewed from West Virginia mountain spring water or a wood fired pizza at the optional opening night get together at the Mountain State Brewing Company. Soft drinks and other beverages will also be available\, along with appetizers\, sandwiches\, and salads. W are unable to cover food\, drinks\, and transportation for this event. \n  \n \nLearn to find\, develop\, and manage grants during the Grant Writing Workshop. Shane Kirby\, director of the Grants Office and Ellie Rafoth\, grants development coordinator at Columbus State Community College will conduct a 4-hour training in successful grant programs including finding funding opportunities\, grant lifecycle steps\, and compression planning tools. \n  \nClick Here to Register

SUMMARY:LBT-365 Bosch Start/Stop Technology: System Diagnostics
DESCRIPTION:LIVE JUNE 26 @ 2:00 PM EDT – This program builds on the LBT-352 program\, which was presented live at the 2019 AVI Spring Training Conference. In this program we will dig deeper into the three different voltage stabilization designs\, featured on Stop/Start vehicles\, specifically looking at the components involved and analyzing the wiring schematics. On vehicle testing will demonstrate the steps needed to diagnose the components and circuits.  Interesting note\, General Motors vehicle applications use all three designs. \nTopics covered: \n\nStop/Start system voltage stabilization designs\nReview dual battery system\nReview capacitor system design\nReview DC/DC converter system design\nDiagnostic testing of voltage stabilization circuits
