DESCRIPTION:This course\, the first part of “Computer Engine Data Interpretation\,” presents an overview of the latest scan tool PIDs available to today’s automotive technicians to assist in “correct the first time” vehicle diagnostics and repair. Presented by Master Mechanic Ron Bilyeu and focusing on Toyota and Ford scan data\, the presentation drills down deep into both prominent and obscure PIDs\, explaining the valuable content they show. Information on air/fuel ratios\, knock sensors\, idle evaluation\, misfires\, VVT\, and crankcase pressure measuring is only a small part of the information presented. This is the first part of a continuing series that will address the same PID evaluation for other vehicle makes and models. \nAt the end of this session\, the student will be able to: \n\nUnderstand fuel trim and the PIDs that support its diagnosis\nDescribe VVT PIDs\nRecall fuel delivery systems and their component diagnostic PIDs\nName important PIDs and how they assist in diagnostics\n\nRuntime: 92 minutes \n
